Acupuncture Services

Acupuncture targets and balances the life force flowing through the body (better known as Qi) by stimulating specific nerves with electrically charged needles. When the Qi is blocked, the body responds with illness, pain, or aching that can only be resolved by unblocking those energetic pathways. Western science refers to acupuncture points as areas of high electrical sensitivity. Inserting needles stimulates various sensory receptors, which activates the nervous and immune systems and motivates the body to heal itself.

We encourage long-term acupuncture treatment to achieve sustained relief and optimal healing. The length and consistency of acupuncture is largely dependent on your needs. During your initial appointment, our acupuncturist will listen to your concerns and design a treatment plan that fits your vision, budget, and goals.

Acupuncture is known to:

Stimulate organ function

Improve circulation

Decrease pain

Reduce inflammation

Realign the nervous system

Aid in mental health

Fix hormone imbalances

Our acupuncturist holds a variety of certifications including: National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Clean Needle Technique, CPR, and the Egoscue Method as a Personal Alignment Specialist.

Massage Services

With the long-term wellbeing of our clients in mind, we’ve developed a comprehensive approach to massage. Whole Body Health Center’s array of treatments are  perfect on their own or paired with acupuncture sessions to promote holistic relief and healing. Our skilled massage therapists will ensure that you feel relaxed, pampered, and welcomed. Sessions last for 30, 60, or 90 minutes.

Deep Tissue

A deep tissue massage helps with chronic muscular pain and injury rehabilitation. This modality is known to reduce inflammation-related pain caused by arthritis and tendonitis.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.

Trigger Point Massage Therapy

Trigger point massage therapy targets one of the more common ailments that affect the muscles in the human body. Trigger point pain typically occurs in more than one area through tingling, numbness, and direct pain. In this specific massage treatment, you’ll breathe deeply as we locate the exact point and intensity of the discomfort. Consistent trigger point therapy can manage pain and stress from chronic injuries.

Swedish Massage

A classic massage that soothes, calms, and heals to promote full-body integration. Benefits of Swedish massage include general relaxation, dissolution of scar tissue, and improved circulation. The specific movements used for a Swedish massage may speed up healing and reduce swelling from injury.

Therapeutic Massage

Common health problems, like chronic or acute pain, can be relieved through massage therapy. When the soft tissues of the body are manipulated, they reset the bodily systems, improve circulation, decrease recovery time, and strengthen immune function. A therapeutic massage is also just pleasant. A skilled touch is proven to reduce stress and encourage the body to drop into a state of relaxation.

Hot Stone Massage

Heated smooth river rocks and cooled marble stones bring relief to stiff or sore muscles and open the body’s Qi. Stones are arranged in various patterns during the massage and provide a deep, soothing, and healing release of tension. By the end of a session, you’ll feel revitalized and nurtured.

Sessions last for 90 minutes. Benefits are optimized when you schedule time for post-treatment relaxation.

Craniosacral Therapy

A gentle, non-invasive method of evaluating and enhancing the functionality of the body. Through light manipulations of the skull, a therapist encourages natural healing by harmonizing the body with the central nervous system. Craniosacral therapy has been proven especially effective for problems associated with pain and dysfunction.

Prenatal & postpartum

Bringing another life into the world can take a toll on the body. Prepare and recover with a massage that brings relief from aches and pains, wards off fatigue, and promotes rapid healing. All prenatal and postpartum massages are performed by a trained perinatal specialist.

Raindrop

As much of an experience as it is a treatment, the raindrop technique is a unique opportunity to settle into a balanced state. Using nine essential oils, you’ll enjoy their healing and balancing properties as they are massaged on your feet and back. Raindrop is a powerful aromatherapy technique that encourages the body to enter a state of natural self-correction.

Reflexology

Release tension and restore function through reflexology - the application of pressure to reflex zones in the feet, hands, and ears. Reflexology reduces pain, encourages relaxation, and stimulates the circulation of blood and lymphatic fluids.

Sports Massage

For athletes looking to perform their best, a steady routine of sports massage encourages better performance and faster recovery. Alternatively, if an athlete is injured, a sports-focused massage can speed and improve the quality of healing.

Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a Japanese finger-pressure technique that promotes self-healing through traditional acupuncture points. Similarly to acupressure, shiatsu unblocks the flow of life energy, which restores balance in the meridians and organs. Benefits of shiatsu may include pain relief and a strengthening of the body’s resistance to disease and disorder.

Reiki

Reiki is a subtle and effective form of energy work. When the mind and body are in a positive and balanced state, one’s energy is strong and free-flowing.  A weakened or blocked Qi can lead to symptoms of physical and emotional imbalance.

During a Reiki session, the practitioner will place their hands above the body to facilitate the flow of energy. You may feel a tingling sensation and warmth, or nothing at all - how you react is dependent on how your body senses energy. Reiki is relaxing, eases tension or stress, and supports the body’s own environment for physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Reiki can be incorporated into an acupuncture or massage session. It is also offered as a separate energy session depending on the needs and/or requests of the client.

Corporate Chair Massage

Bring wellness to the workplace.

On-site massages promote balance during times of stress and increase employee productivity. We’ll travel to you and provide sessions tailored towards your employees and goals. Massages are administered in a specially designed chair that is brought in by our therapists, and the recipient does not disrobe and lotion/oil is not used, unless requested.

We prefer working in private rooms, although cubicles can be used. On-site massage sessions last 2 – 6 hours. Treatments last 10-20 minutes and help release tension in the back, neck, shoulders, arms, and hands. We’ll provide a sign-up sheet to allocate time slots. Every 1 ½ to 2 hours, our therapist takes a 10-15 minute break.

Costs depend on the number of therapists involved, the location, and additional logistics. Sessions may be paid by the employer, employees, or shared. To design a corporate on-site massage session, please call the office.
