Our values are simple: to provide a 'Whole Body Health' experience that promotes individual health and well-being.
We do this by treating every client in a consistent and professional manner. Growing up with a passion for dance, Ellen’s interest in body movement, stretching, and alignment was honed over many years as a student of tap, jazz, ballet and acrobatics. Her experience as a dancer, along with a holistic approach to health and well-being, serve as a foundation for her massage therapy practice.
Ellen encourages each of her clients to take an active role in improving their health and well-being, to be present in the moment, and create a balanced life through the mind, body, and spirit connection.
Massage sessions include an evaluation of a client’s physical issues, personal requests, and techniques. She often incorporates stretching and the lengthening of muscle fibers to increase oxygen and blood flow with the goal of eliminating tension and pain.
Ellen is a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals and a 1998 graduate of the Center of Advanced Therapeutics. My wish is to help everyone. I can improve your quality of life by reducing stress and fatigue after a long day or aid in correcting injuries and structural issues. I enjoy using Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular therapy, Trigger Point therapy, muscle energy techniques and Swedish massage to accomplish this. Too often I have seen people's mental and physical health deplete due to their activities of daily living or traumatic events. This has led me to realize that my purpose in this world is to be a healer. My family has had generations of healers from nurses to medical assistants to caregivers, etc. My definition of success is to do what makes me happy while touching as many lives in as positive a form as I can. For me, that comes from massage therapy and bodywork. Living under ethical principles and determining that every human deserves the power of touch helps to drive me. Fortunately, I have become more in tune with myself and empowering the excitement I feel to create a positive, measurable difference in the body, mind and spirit of anyone I can. Outside of massage therapy, I enjoy leisurely activities such as hiking or embroidering. I love taking care of my body as much as my client's and I get pleasure out of exercising my muscles with weight lifting and yoga. My partner and I enjoy taking walks in nature and relaxing together. I am happy to say I have established a life that fulfills me very greatly.
