What To Expect

When you call the Whole Body Health Center for your appointment, please indicate how long you would like your session to be (e.g., 1 hour, 1 ½ hour, etc.), and if there is a particular massage therapist you would like to work with. Additionally, if you are having an issue (such as a stiff neck, are post-surgical, or need deep tissue work), please indicate that as well. Same day appointments are often available.

The receptionist will find you a date and appointment time to suit your needs.

New clients are required to check-in at the front desk of the Whole Body Health Center 15 minutes prior to their appointment. This will give sufficient time for the new client to complete a brief health history form, have a cup of tea or some water, browse through the books and gifts for sale in the lobby area, and just relax a while before the session begins.

The therapist will then take you back to your treatment room, and discuss the paperwork you have just completed. This is to ensure any problem areas you have are appropriately addressed, and you may want to establish focused area work with your therapist for the session to maximize results. Your safety and comfort are our top priority.

The therapist then leaves the room, while you undress to your comfort level, lie down between the sheets on the massage table, and cover yourself with the blanket.

Massage lotions/oil, music, water fountains, and muted lighting add to the peaceful feeling in the treatment rooms.

The therapist will respect your desire for silence unless dialogue is required to adjust pressure, respond to a question, or to give the therapist additional information about any problem areas you may have. You will remain comfortably draped at all times.

When your session is over, the therapist will leave your treatment room, allowing you to take your time to rest a few minutes longer and get dressed. You will be given some water to drink, and the therapist will go over any final information with you from your session. You can make another appointment at this time, or give us a call.

New clients will receive follow-up telephone calls following their first session, just to see how you are doing and feeling, and how we can better serve you during your next visit.
